We couldn’t be more grateful for the community support around our 8th Annual Run & Ride Festival this past weekend! Even with the threat of rain we had 127 participants, 32 dedicated volunteers and staff, and a wonderful group of event sponsors and partners. Our volunteers were from all over the area and put in over 102 hours of valuable time for us – thank you! The rain held off for our early-morning 5k and 10k runners. Our cyclists arrived just in time to get a beverage and wait out the rain at Sag Wagon. The ‘Bike Crawl’, only slightly delayed by the showers, went along a 23 mile route stopping at Sag Wagon, Kickstand, Shack Tavern, Jersey’s, Odie’s, and finally Chrome Horse. Runners and riders alike ended back at Sag Wagon with an afternoon raffle drawing and live music by two excellent local musicians, Mark Brown (former Willis Dady employee) and Robby Cooper.
Congratulations to our race winners: Nathan Hopp - 10K Run, Jeff Nietert - 5K Run, and Linnea Martin - 5K Walk. Additional congratulations to our raffle winner Kirk Sadilek!
At the end of the day, you helped us raise over $10,000 towards preventing and ending the cycle of homeless in our community. Thank you.
Thank you to our generous sponsors and event partners!
