Day of Caring 2021 at Cedar House

The United Way’s 2021 Day of Caring was held on May 13, 2021. Twenty volunteers from Collins Aerospace joined Willis Dady staff at Cedar House to scrape off old paint from the front porch, back porch, and garage. They then re-painted all those areas with a fresh coat of paint.

Thank you to these volunteers and all the others who have helped with various projects! We wouldn’t be able to complete our renovations without the help of our volunteers and donors.

Why are we renovating this house? Cedar House will be a home for five female clients in Willis Dady’s Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program. PSH combines three elements: a standard and renewable lease ( that is renewable indefinitely), on-site case management, and rent capped at 30% of the household’s income. PSH is a good fit for people who have repeatedly cycled through homelessness.
