Update: Capital Campaign #1

Earlier this spring and summer, preparation began for construction. The playground was dismantled and the second floor emergency exit was relocated to the north side of the building. August began with excavation -- moving earth and raising mounds for machinery to work from. Work focused shoring up the foundation to ensure structural stability of the current office. Steel panels, each 30-ft long, were hammered deep into the ground. After excavating for the basement, footings were put in place and the foundation poured.
